Can you guarantee that I will definitely get a visa and Green Card?
No one will give you such guarantees. Since the success of the case depends on many factors, including the mood of the visa officer on the day of your interview 🙂 But for our part, we guarantee: correct completion of the DS-260 form, timely submission of all documents and full support until the result.
Can I have an interview in another country?
There is such a possibility. To do this, you need to submit a request to the CSS and seriously justify the need to transfer your case.
I know that vaccinations are required to obtain a visa. What should I do if I have no information about which vaccinations have been done and which have not?
Please refer to List of required vaccines by age and consult with your family doctor. 🙂 Alternatively, he or she can order tests and determine which vaccinations you should get based on the results. Please note that without a vaccination document, you will be denied entry to the United States. You will also need a flu shot during the flu season (from October 1 to March 30).
What if my child was born after I won the Green Card Lottery and I did not include him/her in the application? Will he/she be able to get a Green Card with me?
Don’t worry, you can change your family composition when applying for a visa. Just fill out the DS-260 form for the child.
What is the deadline for submitting documents for a visa after winning the lottery?
There are no exact deadlines, but it is better not to delay. Keep in mind that you need to get a visa before September 30 of the following year. And do not forget that the number of visas is limited – there may not be enough for everyone.
When do I need to pay for my Green Card?
You pay a $330 fee before your interview and a $220 fee before entering the United States.
What are the reasons for guaranteed visa refusal?
There are many options. The most common reason is errors in the lottery application or in the DS-260 form. Also, problems with the law will be an obstacle to immigration: criminal records, suspicion of crimes (smuggling, prostitution, drugs, theft, violent crimes). In addition, you will be denied if they suspect that you may pose a threat to the United States.
I have a criminal record. Is there any way to hide it from the immigration service?
We do not recommend doing this. There is another way. First, openly talk about your criminal record (if asked about it). Second, collect documents confirming your law-abidingness: tax certificates, letters of recommendation from work, etc.
To complete the DS-260, a US address is required – where can I get one?
This address is needed to receive correspondence and to receive the Green Card itself after it is ready. Therefore, the address of your acquaintances or friends will do. If there are no such people, you can indicate the address of the hotel where you will stay for the first time. In extreme cases, you can rent a mailbox from special companies. The address can be changed during and after crossing the border.
If I need to make changes to my DS-260 form, what should I do?
You can write a letter to the KSS and ask to unblock your application for entering data. You can correct the application before the interview date is set. But try to do it all at once and do not abuse this opportunity.
